This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP“) outlines the rules and expectations for using Gamu Canada’s services, including the Gamu Customer App, Business App, Driver App, and all related tools and websites (collectively, “Gamu Canada”).
By using Gamu Canada, you agree to follow this policy. Violations may result in warnings, account suspension, legal action, or permanent removal from the platform.
1. Who This Policy Applies To
This AUP applies to:
- Customers using the Gamu app to place orders
- Business owners using the Gamu Business app
- Drivers using the Gamu Driver app
- Anyone accessing Gamu Canada’s website or backend systems
2. General Rules for All Users
You must not:
- Use false identities or impersonate others
- Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or overload the Gamu platform
- Interfere with other users’ access, deliveries, or listings
- Use Gamu for any illegal or unauthorized activity (under federal or provincial law)
- Share or misuse personal data collected via the platform (e.g., customer names, addresses)
- Upload viruses, malware, or unsafe code
- Use Gamu to stalk, harass, or threaten others
3. Specific Rules for Business Owners
As a merchant, you must not:
- List illegal, unsafe, expired, or restricted products (e.g., alcohol, tobacco, weapons)
- Misrepresent your business (fake menus, false pricing, unlicensed stores)
- Cancel confirmed orders without valid reason
- Discriminate against customers
- Collect cash or bypass Gamu’s payment system
- Use customer data outside Gamu (e.g., marketing without consent)
⚠️ Note: Business listings may be removed or suspended if they do not meet Gamu Canada’s quality and compliance standards.
4. Specific Rules for Drivers
As a Gamu Driver, you must not:
- Drive without valid license, vehicle insurance, or registration
- Deliver items not permitted (e.g., drugs, cash, unauthorized goods)
- Open, tamper with, or steal packages
- Discriminate or refuse orders without legitimate reason
- Use unsafe driving practices during deliveries
- Share or store customer data beyond the purpose of delivery
5. No Tolerance for Abuse or Discrimination
Gamu Canada has zero tolerance for:
- Hate speech or racism
- Threats or violent behavior
- Sexual harassment or inappropriate conduct
- Discrimination based on race, gender, religion, disability, or sexual orientation
Violations may result in immediate permanent ban and may be reported to authorities where required.
6. Reporting Abuse
If you witness or experience a violation of this policy:

Gamu Canada reviews all abuse reports seriously and in confidence.
7. Legal Compliance
All users must follow Canadian laws, including but not limited to:
- Provincial food handling laws (for merchants)
- Local driving and insurance rules (for drivers)
- Privacy laws like PIPEDA and Quebec’s Law 25
- Stripe’s Acceptable Use Policy (since we process payments via Stripe)
Gamu reserves the right to work with authorities to investigate serious violations.
8. Enforcement & Penalties
We may take the following actions if this AUP is violated:
- Issue a warning
- Suspend or terminate the account
- Hold or cancel payouts
- Ban a device or phone number
- Report the issue to law enforcement if needed
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy at any time. The latest version will always be available at:
